The Hardest Thing I’ve Ever Had to Do…
By Karri • Sep 16th, 2010 • Category: entrepreneurshipI wasn’t going to post this. It’s just some personal reflection I included in the intro of this afternoon’s email broadcast. But one reader hit Reply right away and told me she “had to sit down” when she read it.
Figured this might be worth sharing here should it be reason for some of you to “sit down” too … Anyway, here’s what I said:
I’m sitting in the Vancouver airport right now reflecting on a 2-day “Think Tank” I just finished with my mastermind group and business coach.
This has been one of the hardest weeks of my life and business career that I can remember since starting my business over 5 years ago.
… 5 years ago when “anyone could make money online.”
… 5 years ago when I had a 10 month old baby who needed me perhaps more than my fledgling biz needed me.
… 5 years ago when I thought I could “just do this thing part time.”
Ahem.
There have been many iterations of my business — and of ME — since that raw and somewhat innocent time in my life.
And here’s what I’m just starting to get …
I’m done proving myself.
I’m not done giving. I’m not done being a teacher. I’m not done sharing my gifts. I’m definitely not done with this business.
But I’m done with Miss Prove It. I love her, but she needs a rest.
What or WHOM are you done with in your business?
So you can embrace what you NEED to BE or DO next?
