Smart Entrepreneur, Meet Woo-Woo

By • Oct 28th, 2010 • Category: entrepreneurship

From this morning’s ezine …

I talked to 2 prospective clients yesterday who each said to me, in their own words, that they sought me out because I’m a straight shooter.  Additionally, each of these ladies are of the highly sensitive ilk and want to work with someone who respects their soul-centered approach to business.

A curious intersection of logic and woo-woo if you ask me.

Five years ago these conversations were a little different.

People just wanted to make more money and gee, can you make that happen for me, like NOW?

Today, entrepreneurs still want to make money, but they want their money wrapped around things like purpose, spirituality, meaning and a deep respect for the people they serve.

And a few of you are starting to see that this is a process. The unfolding of wealth can’t happen before the unfolding of woo-woo. (You can tweet that one to the bank.)

@karriflatla if you’re so inclined :-)

I’ll leave you to ponder that one a little more on your own. But I’ll be talking more about this so watch for it.

What do you think dear entrepreneur? Is woo-woo a prequisite to wealth? Please share your thoughts in the Comments.

You write like I think, talk: the curious intersection of logic and woo woo! Looove it!

Once I’m rolling in the dough, I might just have to have you write my copy :)

I’m a former journalist and wrote marketing copy, who can’t stand writing – go figure.

    Will stay in touch …

Yeah, it would sound weird to the “old school” entrepreneur. But, we live in rapidly evolving times, and whether you want to refer to it as the “Age of Aquarius” kicking in more fully (yeah, I’m an old hippie!) or the 2012 pivotal point of rising consciousness vibrations, there does seem to be an altering landscape in the business scene.

I’m certain it couldn’t have happened if the internet hadn’t come onto the scene.

It’s only a matter of time before woowoo turns mainstream.

    I absolutely agree.

It is terribly hard to get most business people to see that the right sequence is Be, Do, then Have.

    Oh, well…we’re making progress.
