Do You Need More Armour or More Nourishment?

By • Nov 10th, 2010 • Category: entrepreneurship

Given how many different messages we’re bombarded with in a day, this is a question we must ask ourselves routinely as entrepreneurs. If we don’t, we may miss out on some very revealing conversation.

For there is the stuff we want to hear, the stuff that’s just BS we need to ignore or step over, and then there’s the stuff that looks like heavy artillery aiming straight for our chest.

Of course, sometimes what looks like ammunition is not. It’s actually a message we need to hear…a conversation that’s asking for some air time.

Watch my latest video post. Then tell me if you feel nourished enough–and in turn motivated enough–to consider taking off a layer of two of your “amour.”

Thanks so much for the clarification on your question! I would never have connected getting enough sleep and eating well with feeling safe. Must think about how I can add nourishment to my life.

    Karri:

Great video post! Spoke right to me :)

I wore armor for 20 years in the corporate world. Heavy, suffocating, exhausting job putting it on each morning and carrying it around all day. So glad to have shed it now in the internet marketing/entrepreneurial world. Once I took the time to nourish myself, my load became so much lighter!

Here’s to being ME – here’s to each of us being OURSELVES!

Karri, thanks for taking the time to nourish yourself – and to make this video.

@marie-jeanne indeed the corporate world encourages us to wear many layers, to converse little, to listen even less and to all around just not be seen. I suspect you’ll be happier “over here.”

Thx re the hair. Sometimes short is better ;)
