Part 1: Strategy
During the strategic phase we’ll finalize:
- Your Unique Value Promise (UVP) matched to your ideal customer (demographics and psychographics).
- Your branding objectives (emotional triggers and “the story” behind the business).
- What is going to be marketed on the website and how (individual offers, a free download, etc.).
Includes:
- 1 60-minute strategy session with me (Karri Flatla) plus supporting email correspondence.
- Finalization of website schematic (what content goes where/is called what).
- Determination of core message for each of homepage, offer/info pages, and profile page.
Part 2: Implementation
I’ll write copy for your Homepage, 3 short copy offer/informational pages and 1 About page (5 pages in total). I pay attention to mission-critical details like:
- Compelling, audience-sensitive headlines to encourage reader to engage further with your site.
- Retention of your voice, style and unique or quirky positioning that can’t be copied by anyone else.
- Relating to pain/challenges your readers are facing; validating their desire for change.
- Articulating outcomes and benefits that foster trust, enthusiasm and grasp of the opportunity (emotion).
- Articulating how it is your product/service will get readers from the bad place to the happy place (logic).
- Creating irresistible calls to action (contact you, buy, subscribe).

Processes, Time Lines and Terms:
- You’ll complete a “pre-copy” questionnaire to verify your website goals, establish core messaging, uncover your unique value promise (UVP), and define target audience demographics and psychographics.
- During our strategy call I’ll ask you additional questions to help me get crystal clear on your voice, your “big message,” and WHY people should buy from you. We’ll riff on the language as well as the messaging that will resonate with your ideal customer.
- Up to 2 rounds of minor revisions are always included.
- A 50% deposit is required to get started with 25% due in 21 days and final payment due at completion.
- The whole shebang takes about 4 weeks, often times less. However, we’re all human, so how quickly you turn around key information to me will impact timeliness of deliverables.
